The word "bargepole", "touch" & "wouldn't" spring to mind - for home cinema anyway. Might be alright for gaming, but it osen't even have component inputs...

Re: Cheap ebay projector? any good?

It looks more like a data projector than a home cinema one.

There's also no way RM Special delivery is going to deliver by Christmas now, even at the Saturday price.. they're backlogged to hell and back (as I just found out from the sorting office when I called about a missing special delivery package).

Re: Cheap ebay projector? any good?

A quick google shows its native LCD resolution is 800x480. That's quite low by today's standards and personally, you could get yourself a better PJ second hand at £300 than that Ally job.

I wouldn't go near it

Re: Cheap ebay projector? any good?

They are ok for games but S Video is the best signal it will do. Forget about it for anything else. There are other similar ones around £300 and they have very low resolution. One, has a resolution of just 480 X 234.

I would pay a bit extra and get a proper projector.

You won't regret it. I have had mine for a week and it is brilliant. It does have a very short lens and zoom though. I get a 77" 16:9 at 9 feet distance on max zoom.

My throw will be about 13ft, how big do you think the screen will be @ 13ft then if yours is 77"

A 16:9 screen will be 92" at 13 feet on no zoom or 106" diagonal at max zoom.
