epson emp tw20 or benq w 100

hello,
was thinking of buying the epson tw 20 as my first pj,
but have noticed in the reviews that a few people
are complaining of dead pixels with this unit.
checking out the reviews now on the benq w 100.
will be using the pj in a bar with screen size approx 80 inches wide.
any suggestions appreciated.

Re: epson emp tw20 or benq w 100

No Contest. The W100 will win everytime as it is DLP. However, it depends on whether you or anyone suffer from the rainbow effect. I know someone who uses a Dlp despite seeings rainbows just because the DLP is so much better than what he had before.

Also, what will you use with it? The BenQ has 2 components, 1 DVI, S Video and Composite inputs.

Home cinema projectors don't like dirty, smokey environments, plus they're mostly not very bright so need a dark room, so these models may not be suitable for use in a bar.
