how long do you think for a 1080i projector for £1500 ?

My 'holy grail' on the cheap PJ front used to be a 3-chip 1080p model, but after this:

1080 a total waste of time and money?

I'm now looking for the price of 3-chip 720p models to come down in price.

The SIM & In Focus models are currently £10k-£11k. The way the market is moving at the moment, I'm hoping for similar models to be maybe £5k (or maybe even a little less) in a couple of years.
