Cabling or Video Processor Dilema

I am commencing my garage conversion but I have a bit of a headache trying to decide whats best for normal viewing.

I havent picked a projector yet but lets assume I pick one with HDMI, Component and VGA input.

The projector will need a cable about 8m long with potential for 1080p but definately 720p. Running an HDMI cable, Component cable, VGA cable over 8 metres is potentially very costly and with no video processing to help the signal along it will be a basic signal that the projector will receive.

Or......have one HDMI going to the projector but running Sky HD, HD-DVD, etc through a video processor like V30, an expensive add on but would I see a noticable difference in PQ plus save a bit of cash, maybe a few hundred quid on not needing to buy more cables.

Doh!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Cabling or Video Processor Dilema

Erm, Why not just get an Amp to handle switching inputs (single output to projector) and then you have audio covered too?

Re: Cabling or Video Processor Dilema

Thanks but my Denon amp is too good to give up at this stage.
