Re: projector setup question

Hi,
No PJ on the market (as far as i know ) has a coax input. Which is no bad thing as it only carries the lowest signal quality anyhow (composite) which came out in the 1950's! However the answer is simple if all you wish to conect is your Xbox, you just need to go and buy a componet lead for it which will plug into your PJ (i'll be stunned if it doesn't have componet inputs) (this is were it helps to know what pj you have). Game sale them for about £10 and it will improve the picture quality as well.

Re: projector setup question

hawee, do you mean the output of your cable box like Lizard suggested of the coax cable coming from outside into your cable box? If it's the latter, there's no way to connect it to the projector, as it's the multiplexed feed from your cable provider (NTL / Telewest ?).

You'll still need the cable box to "tune" to the channel you want to watch and then feed the tuned picture to the projector. If your cable box has component out, great. But I think some of them only provide composite video (which is what Lizard was referring to), s-video (better than composite) and possibly RGB over scart.

What cable box do you have and what projector do you have? With that info, someone will be able to suggest the best way of connecting it all up

Re: projector setup question

I have a ViewSonic PJ402D Projector and there is no cable box comes straight out of the wall.

Do i need to plug it into a VCR, then into a A/V receiver, then to the projector?
