HD 70 & Panasonic AX 100 xmas price?

I am about to invest in one of these projectors but I am wondering wether to buy now or wait till the sales ?
Do you think they will drop abit more or stay the same?
The hardest thing is which one to buy
Then again it would be great to watch all the dvd goodies that I may get for xmas
What do you think?
Cheers

It doesn't tend to work like for projectors. Price drops only occur whn:-

a) The price of the competition drops significantly or
b) They're about to launch a replacement model.

I'd buy now. A chance to watch your favourite movies on a massive screen

Yeah I thought as much!
Just cant decide which to go for,I am a bit short of time so a demo is a bit tricky.
The optoma will fit where I want it to go but i am worried about RBE and if it will be tiring to watch but the ax 100 is 200 quid more but may suffer screen door and pixel problems
TBH I think I will be happy with either......
I will be changing to a Toshiba 360 dvd player with hdmi so thats all sorted.

Re: HD 70 & Panasonic AX 100 xmas price?

Just to pick you up on your last point - the AX100 most definitely won't suffer with screen door as it uses 'smoothscreen' technology - you can sit at 1x screen width and not see any pixels.

Also, as for pixel problems, DLP can also suffer mirror failures which would be basically the same as a dead pixel (although I believe it is less likely than with LCD) - I'd buy from a seller that offers a pixel check and then you'll be unlucky if you suffer any pixel failures in the future.

Good luck
