Re: Infocus 4805 question

i wouldnt have thought you should hear anything....

my 7205 when in standby has a standby circuit running, i would assume the 4805 does likewise...but no mechanics should be doing anything.....

when you turn the PJ off it will spend the next 5 minutes or so cooling down the bulb with the fan, but after 5 minutes (give or take, could be longer on some models) everything should stop and there should be nothing mechanical going on....

if something still making noise i'd recommend contacting your dealer if fairly new, or if not infocus (or still your dealer if they are a good shop....the 7oaks i use have always told me to come to them first, even out of warranty to see if they can help)....

Re: Infocus 4805 question

This is quite normal. In standby, the fan continues to run very quitely just to keep it cool. This may be exclusive to the 4805 as mine did this, but my 7205 I have now doesn't.
But it is nothing to worry about and if it bothers you, just switch it off at the switch or plug once it has finished its cooling down process (fast fan cycle)

The manual reads:

"When the lamp has cooled, the LED lights solid green and the fans slow
down to minimal speed
. To turn off the projector, toggle the power switch to
the off position."
