off setting pj from screen

hi all,
does anyone know of any pjs that can be off set from the screen by say 20 or 30 degrees...in particular my themescene h30....
the reason i ask is that i've currently got my pj mounted directly in front of my screen, but during a recent brain storm after a few beers i thought about a cupboard under the stairs that would in effect be in one corner of my current room set up......so i could mount the pj in the cupboard, cut a square hole in the partition bit of the wall, out of sight and also cutting down any noise.
....providing off setting is'nt going to totally screw up the picture.
rather not try and see with my h30 as there's not enough cable unless i have my bedroom floorboards up.
anyone know?
cheers.

Re: off setting pj from screen

You can't "offset" horizontally only vertically which is what all DLP projectors do.
If you are referring to lens shift than all the newer LCD projectors can do as standard.

Lens shift means you can move the picture usually between 1/2 screen to the left/right and 1 screen up/down off the projection axis. Most popular models are Sanyo Z4, Z5, Hitachi TX200/300, Panasonic AE900, AX100

Re: off setting pj from screen

Short answer is no.

Long answer is even if you got a new PJ with H and V lens shift, it still sounds like you would be using an awful lot of shift (if you could even find one with that much of it!) and would still likely be detrimental to picture quality.
