Ageing Sony VPL10HT uses?

My 5 year old 10HT is on it's last legs the current bulb is on about 1500 hours and now very dim (seemed to go fairly suddenly), I can't see spending 300-400 quid on a new bulb at this stage, so anyone any ideas what I can do with it? I hate throwing stuff away is there any repair companies that would be interested in the bits?

I can't see it being worth anything with no bulb.

ebay probably your best bet might get a couple of hundred for it.
