All depends but every 100 or 200 hours would seem to be a wise precaution especially with LCD's as dust blobs can be problem.

oohh...eek...i'm well out then...lol

over a year and some 3k plus hours.........i must admit i was scared to open the thing in case it got broken....heh.....still, i need to whack in a new bulb soon, guess i'll open it up whilst the old bulb is in there, if it all goes pear shaped i'll get it swapped out on the gold warranty and keep the spare bulb in case they give me a new bulb in the swap out machine...lol

Re: how often should you clean the projector filter?

Well
I've had my Panny 300 for nearly 4yrs if memory serves and the filter has never been cleaned yet

I've yet to see any sign of dust blobs and I'd be scared to start faffing around now
