advice needed for first projector..

hi,

this is my first post here, been reading and trying to find info for a while but figured it'd prob be easier to ask you good peeps for some advice.

ok, i've decided to get a home PJ set-up instead of getting a new tv for a while. main uses would be for DVD, image projection and just watching TV and budget is around 1000.00GBP (my pound sign doesn't work), and would preferably like something that is HD ready.

the main problem i have is the fact that my living room does have a lot of ambient light which at the moment i cant do much about... so because of this and after trawling around for info i think i have decided on the
Epson TW520... i did want to go for the Optoma HD70, but from what i can gather this won't be much good in a naturally light room, and i've also read that the PJX300 works well the light?

i also thought about maybe not bothering with HD and maybe going for the Epson TW20 which is half the price and looks like it would suit my needs pretty well for the time being?

if anyone could advise on what would be best to go for it would be much appreciated.

many thanks in advance.

Varg.

Varg, is there no way you can control the light in your room or perhaps fit some blinds that could help as i feel any PJ will be somewhat of a wasted purchase if you cant get the lighting right.
