Help re Infocu 72

I was reading this projector can display HD, but then I read it cant, can it or cant it, has anyone got it, what do you think of it, cheers

Two things.

1/ Wrong forum mate.
2/ The native panel resolution is 854 x 480p so it will scale a hd signal, 1280 x 720 to 854 x 480. For a proper hd projector you would need something like the in76. Still. I bet the in72 still gives a cracking picture.

Ye my apologies for posting in the wrong forum, I dont understand the HD part, can it do 720p then, if i connect up a xbox 360 will it display 720, if so how well, would it be as good as my tosh TV. Will be able to work with tosh HD DVD player and SKY HD, thanks for your help.

Hi,

WIth a panel resolution of 854x480, it wont be able to "do" hi-def.

Although it might be able to display a hi-def input, and might be able to do a fairly good job at it, the projector just doesnt have enough pixels to display it properly. All the fine details present in the input will be lost or blurry so (for example) really small text on an x-box game may be difficult to read.
