Exclamation Lining Up Projector and Screen

daft question.....is there any way to set up a projector so when watching a film that is either 16:9 or scope the image is perfectly centered on the screen with out using the keystone correction.

The image when projected onto my fixed frame screen looks ok when I project a 16:9 film on it "Saving Private Ryan" for example it but when I project somthing like "Star Wars" as its a enhanced scope film the gap at the top of the picture is smaller than the gap at the bottom if you get what I mean

Re: Lining Up Projector and Screen

I dont understand. My PJ is set up to be centered on the 16:9 screen and 2.35:1 stuff lines up perfectly across the middle. Or am I missing something?

Exclamation Re: Lining Up Projector and Screen

thanks russ.will for the quick response, I used the DVE test disc with a grid pattern, it looks ok as I said 16:9 is ok but its just scope thats not.

potentially it would be easier to move the screen up or down a little before I paper the wall its on, I could project on to the blank wall and re center the projector/image I suppose.
