Oppo DVD Player & Sanyo Z4

Hiya i have an Oppo DVD Player connected to the Z4 via component
The pics ok but nothing special , im wondering am i doing something wring settings wise ?
Hoping that some of you guys may have the same setup and can advice me the settings your using
If i watch sky HD through the projector pic is awesome, i know HD is always better but im sure i can improve normal DVD in some way as its not good at all

Cheers

Re: Oppo DVD Player & Sanyo Z4

if its the 71 you will find reports saying it is notoruously "un-special" on component. It doesnt use the faroudja upscaling chip. To get the most out of the Oppo use hdmi on video 2 with true life on and everything else off. Use component on sky HD.
