via HDMI results in no picture! If I re-route the DVD player via my AV amp (Pioneer 1016) in composite (have no Component lead at the mo) it works fine.

However, a direct link to the PJ gives me no picture, and I have no way of testing whether it is the cable, player or PJ at fault as I have no other inputs/ outputs with an HDMI connection.

Question is, within the ae-900 manual, there are words to the effect that not all connections via HDMI will produce an image - is the sd-360 one of those components that are incompatible? Has anyone else had a similar problem?

i would see if your dvd player has an option to choose which it outputs in, as it may be set to rgb scart as standard and then you select the hdmi output.
