Last week I recieved my EMP-TW600, and must admit to being impressed with the picture quality, user friendliness, screen size over a short throw, brightness, etc.
However..... the Epson website says "Native 16:9 1280 x 720 resolution for a true cinema experience"........
So why do I get a fish bowl effect whereby the left and right hand sides of the widescreen projection seem to magnify the picture.
Its not noticable when the image being viewed is stationary, but when the image is, say, panning to the left, the fish bowl effect is very noticable and very annoying.
I certainly didnt get this with my old Panny AE700.
Even sitting watching the Sky News ticker at the bottom of the screen, you can see the magnification effect occuring as the text streams in from the right hand side of the screen.
My main inputs to the TW600 are a Toshiba DVD player via component (set to 16:9), and a Sky + box via SVideo (also set to 16:9).
So why do I get this annoying fish bowl effect?
Is it something I have not set-up properly on the projector?
Is it a hardware fault?
Does the projector need a software update?
If this is native to this type or projector I'll be sending it back!
Tomorrow I will be contacting the Epson support desk, but would welcome any help you guys can give.
