Help with AE300 install etc

Hi There

Just joined yesterday the site is fantastic, can anyone help i am installing my own home cinema system, i have bought a second hand Panasonic PT-AE300 projector, my room height is 9 foot, could i install a projector screen from the ceiling with my projector on the ceiling as well, or will it be too high? what would you recommend? also where is the cheapest place to buy lenses for that model of projector, and last question where would you recommend buying a projector screen from and would you recommend manuel or remote screen, many thanks and looking forward to your replies, Nick

Re: New to home cinema

Hi welcome to the forums, glad you are enjoying them.
The DIY forum is really for self build projects and assistance etc, i have therefore moved this thread to projectors as you will get a quicker response from there

Hi Nick, and welcome to the forums. I to also had a PTAE300,this is a cracking projecter, old but good and great for your first PJ. I had mine mounted on the ceiling along with me screen and it all worked well for me,my hight was also 9 foot.I did use an electric screen, but if your looking for a screen then read up on lots of em as screens have differant gains on them. Some screen will work better with your projector than others
