The official word....

Thank you for your email.

If Luzerntech.com advertises that this is a new unit with 2 years warranty that is correct.

Your question about warranty, Silver Plus warranty upgrade and Gold Plus warranty upgrade are unfortunately 'End of Service life', we apologize that the information is wrong on our webpage but it will be changed.

We only sell the two warranties that I already informed you

Platinum Plus Warranty £ 393

1 year lamp warranty £ 55

Our new home cinema projectors comes with the Silver Plus warranty and 1 year lamp warranty, please see below for information about the products:
GUTTED - THATS ONE HELL OF A PRICE DIFFERENCE!!!

The silver was only £90!!!!

Hmm.. wish Id known that before I ordered the projector...!!!

Re: Infocus Extended Warranties.. where can you buy them??

Some more info...

I decided to call them to try and extract some more info... and I finally got what I was after, which confirms what a few people have said in various posts...

They have indeed restructured their warranty policy, and most of the info on their website is indeed, now obsolete... they have infact confirmed that the 2 year standard warranty they now provide is on par with what was their Silver Plus.. so owners will not incurr any financial bosts if they need to return the item... thank god for that!!!!

How difficult has this been to find out some simple information!!!! If only all the people I spoke with new the same facts!!!

Well, that is reassuring, but I guess there is no replacement PJ whilst the machine is being fixed right?

Incidentally, the 1 yr lamp warranty... Does that mean you get as many as necessary in the first year?

Re: Infocus Extended Warranties.. where can you buy them??

The FINAL word from Infocus:

Quote:
Dear Sir,

The SP7210 has the normal standard 2 years warranty, which means that the unit needs to be shipped to us to have the repair done. Shipping cost is for free when the unit is under warranty. The lamp warranty is not included in the 2 years warranty, for the SP7210 the lamp warranty is 90 days.

The Silver Plus warranty doesn't come with every new product/purchase, only the new product line which are the INxx models. And these models also have 1 year lamp warranty.

If you have any questions, please contact me.

Kind regards,

Anette Hansson

Techincal Support Representative EMEA
At least its not going to cost us to return the pj to the Netherlands, which is where it will need to go for repairs!!!
