Sony Projector Repair

Hi there
I was wondering if anyone has any experience in fixing sony projectors.

I have two, a VPL-CX3 ans a vpl-cx1.

The cx3 will not power up at all but i know the lamp and optic system are working because i have tested them independantly. I think it may be a power problem and have checked all the fuses but can't figure it out.

The cx1 will power up but gives an image which is unstable and has no resmemblence to the input, it will not show the menu or any sort of overlay, it just has a blue screen with flickering white bars across it. I had some improvemnt in stability by re-seating the lcd control cables but i still can't see any evidence of the menu.

I have the electrical schematics for the cx2/cx3/cs2.

Anyway, any comments would be appreciated,
