epson emp-tw600 help

I have finally got around to connecting my dvd player upto epson tw600 via HDMI, the only problem is that i can only use the standard dvd res, when i upscale to 720 wich the pj does support all i get is a "signal not suppotred" message, is there something i should be doing in the dvd player to get this to work? or is it the pj? works fine over compoent cable

Hi lilesgary

Have you resolved the upscaled hdmi problem yet? If so, how did you get it to work?

I have an Imac upscaling my dvds and connected to my TW600 via HDMI and that seems to work fine. Under INFO it comes up at 1080 60hz. Also connect my xbox via component and that runs fine at 720p and 1080i. Not really anything to suggest, but can confirm that the projector will take the signal ok. As you say maybe try another HDMI lead (although being a digital signal i should think it either works or it doesn't). I would suggest its the player not throwing the right signal.

I've had mine about 6 months now (2nd one actually... long story... if you search the topic you'll see). Picture quality is superb, still amazes me whenever I watch things like Star Wars ROTS or fifth element. Even better since I've used the Imac to upscale. Flesh tones etc are great. Can't wait to get a HDDVD player now. Only slight niggle is that I have a green dust blob which is starting to get on my nerves, but I'll get that sorted when I get 5 minutes. Anyway, glad you're enjoying it. Seems a very underated PJ to me.
