Quote for 5 year cover for AE100

There seams to be an alarming increase in dying Ae100's lately, in this respect I was wondering what sought of quotes you have had for extra cover of this unit.
I received a letter this week from "Domestic & General" offering me an extra 4 years cover for £329.00 this seams a bit steap, I wonder if it covers blown lamps interestingly they call it a Panasonic Projection Television.
This cover is for new for old and accidental damage as well as repairs.

Good luck to everyone with dying AE100's

Are you sure you haven't got a 2yr warranty as standard, I was told mine had a 2yr warranty when I bought it..

Cheers
Andy

The shop told me it had a standard 1 year warranty, but yes, you are correct it is 2 years, the shop I purchased from don't normally sell projectors so they woudn't know anyway.

Don't know if this is helpful but I took out an extended 5 year warranty on my Sony VW11 for £256. It doesn't cover consumable parts like dust filter and lamps though.

It looks like Barclaycard do a free one year extended warranty as long as you paid for the PJ in full with the card. Not bad for free I guess.
