Exclamation monitor vga->component cable will it work?

I've recently been playing with the various options of my projector a clone of sanyo plv-30 and I've just found a vga->component cable at work the ones you normally use with hight end monitors - regular 15 pin connector at one end a 5 bnc at the other -> r b g hsync vsync I can't even tell if the connectors will fit until I get it home but I thouhg I'd run this past the collective knowledge before I do something really stupid

Will this drive the component connectors on the projector when used with the pc?

or will my little proj blow up??

Just wanting to quickly test the quality of component against svid + vga.

regards
j

iF you can set your PC to output a 480P signal using YPrPb instead of RGBHV then it'll work I'd expect.
