epson pj help'ish

first of all may i say wot an excelent place this is for information of all thing av!!

right thats the grovelin out of the way,i just purchaed a epson emp-74l pj and built me own screen out of a blind from ikea- must say it looks stunning, anyway i want to get componet out of my dvd player to my pj but how??? there is only a composit video in on the pj but the option is there on the menu. oo and the pj is not new from the shop so i have no instructions but i did d/load some from epson but there is no mention of this..
please anyone help if you can

hello

does your dvd player have a scart socket ?...if so, you should be able to use a scart to component adapter

check that your player can output component via scart

you say your projector doesn't accept component so you will probably need a scart to composite adapter

looking at the specs of the PJ you need to get either svideo to svideo if your dvd has svideo out or if not get a scart to svideo lead this is better than using the composite video signal.

what dvd player is it?

If it has component option in the menu then the scart to component adapter will give the best pic.

ok,from reading the pdf manual that i downloaded the pj can accept componet signals via the computer in sub 15 connection on the back and my dvd is a cyberhome and does have component out
