Need advice choosing a pj system

Hi guys,

Hopefully someone kind enough can give me a quick answer to a couple of queries i have regarding setting up a PJ system.

I've never owned a PJ before, but really interested in one for general use. I have read through some posts and picked up an idea of what i want etc.

I was looking at the highly recommended Panasonic PT-AE900 with a 92"ish manual drop screen (any recommendations 150-200quid max?)

I would like to connect my Sky+ and PC up to the projector initially. Would my best bet be connecting my Sky+ via Scart and then buying a DVI to HDMI lead to connect my pc or could i get away with a standard VGA cable?

For audio, I just have an old sony surround sound that will do for now until i have some extra money to upgrade.

I too am thinking of taking the plunge on my first projector. I'm looking at the ae900. However I was wondering if anyone knew how the ae900 stacks up to used sony vw10ht/12ht which originally cost about 5K ~3 years ago but can be had for under a grand now.
