HS60 screendoor

Yes it exists. It's an LCD.

However, for movies, how does it compare to non-smoothscreen Epson 1280x720 panel PJs (e.g. Z4) and to the AE900?

It's about the same as my old Z3 1280X720, and given that the Z4 has the new panels with improved SDE, I guess it must be better than the HS60

Hmm. Still pondering whether to go for a stop-gap until 1080p PJs are relatively affordable. Trouble is I'm used to my smoothscreen Panny AE300 and I sit at approx. 1.25 x screen width.

Although the HD60 is clearly superior to the AE900, I'm thinking that the Panny may be an interim solution for £1000.

Am I right in thinking the AE900 is significantly brighter than the HS60?

IMHO 1.25 X screen width is WAY too close for the HS60. I see screendoor at 2X

Thanks Comer. I guess the AE900 looks like the obvious stopgap candidate, particularly as my plans for SkyHD are on hold until they produce a decent STB. So a 1080 display is not "urgent".
