IN76 connection questions

Hi,
Having rulled out the 72HDi due to it's large offset and my low ceiling I'm now focusing on the IN76.

I intend to use an external scaller and will be feeding the IN76 with a 720p source, however I'm not sure which connection to use; the HDMI or the M1-DA? Can they both be 1:1 pixel mapped or does the HDMI use a form of overscan? Also is the M1-DA HDCP compliant?

Thnaks

Kristin

If your exsternal scaler has several inputs i would use the HDMI and use the M1-DA for connecting to your PC. Both are HDCP complient and both can be 1:1 pixel mapped.
I have an IN76 and it is a fantastic PJ. HD Looks stunning.
Out of curiosity what scaler are you getting? The Pixel Works scaler in the IN76 is one of the very best and produced fantastic pictures via S-Video from my old DVD player when i first got it that i think looked better than DVI on my old SP5700. You would have to spend about the price of the PJ again to better it i think.

Thanks for the reply, it's great news to me that the M1/DVI is HDCP compliant and the HDMI can be pixel mapped

I'm currently planning on getting a lumagen HDQ as it is a very good VP (for HD as well as SD) and it will also act as a input AND output switching box, meaning I only need to run a single cable to the PJ. I will also have a 26" Sammy for normal TV viewing which I intend to connect to the HDQ via component.

I'll have to check with the experts first but I think it'll do all that
