How often do you clean your projector?

Have read the recommendations of cleaning your filters every 100 hours etc and was wondering how often people do actually clean their PJ's?

I'll probably get reported to the RSPJA for neglect!

Clocked up only around 200 hours in just under 2 years. Took it down for a dust and clean and discovered a) my Philips PJ has been designed not to need filters and b) it was cleaner on the inside than the thin layer ofdust on the top of the case.

after installing a new bulb in my pj i've noticed a couple of blobs being projected onto my screen... only noticeable when it's a dark scene.

will a can of compressed air blasted inside fix this?

The TX puts a warning on the screen (and flashing red light on the unit) every 100hrs to remind you. I've cleaned the filter 3 or 4 times now, it is a good idea because it does improve the airflow through the machine hence keeps it cooler.

Based on a suggestion in one of the treads here I got a can of compressed air, removed the filters and have the PJ a good blast through the vents. This cleared the dust blob on my unit. (PJTX200).
