pc to projector

question: I have my pc coonnected to my pj via the VGA input, the picture i get is only 4:3, i can't change the settings on the pj to get it to be set to 16:9, is ther any software i can use on my pc to output the desktop in a 16:9 format?

Use a widescreen resolution like 1280x720.
