svideo cable to projector

Well I have decided on getting the PJTX200 next month, i was going to get the IN76 but its a bit pricey, plus with the recent price drop of the hitachi i can upgrade my speakers, get some quality cable and projector screen which will still come under the price of the infocus projector! (currently £1699 with screen)

I am planning to connect my CRT tv and my Projector to my sky box so i can watch the odd footie match or program in SD resolution on the projector. I will connect a scart splitter to the sky box one scart going to the tv another to my av receiver from here i will connect a 10 meter svideo cable from the monitor out connection to the projector.

I am just wondering is 10 meters too long, as i dont want video degration and i have seen what a 5 meter scart cable can do to the image quality, is there any reccomendations for a quality svideo cable. i have seen some on ebay which look pretty thick but dont want to go for some cable that produces crappy results

would apprectiate if anyone has pics of projecor hooked up to a DTV or freeview box via svideo see the potentiall quality

Thats exactly what i dont want the chicken wire effect. I have a standard sky box (some crappy looking thomson sky box) so it wil probably preform worse with similar cables to your cable

my friend got a standard s video cable and he suffers from the chicken wire effect big time, i have a 10 meter Ixos cable and i don't suffer from any at all. so its worth spending a little more on good cable. i bought my porjector second hand and the seller threw in the cable for free after i bought it so i was very happy!
