I have a PJ-TX100 which I bought when it first launched. Initially I was very happy with it, however over time the VB has gradually got worse (or I spend more time looking for it) and now there is what I thought was a dust blob (feignt round tennis ball size green image being projected) and a green cast only visible in dark scenes on one side. I have an extended warranty with TADL Assist but they have had the projector back and if anything it came back worse and they claim it's not a dust blob but something to do with the optics which is just part of the manufacturing process.

Anyway, the way I see it is I have 4 options :-

1) Sell as is fully describing problems and demoing to prospective purchaser, let them take it up with TADL as the warranty is transferrable. Any ideas how much it would be worth in this scenario (above problems aren't great but they do irritate me and I am itching to buy something new anyhow).

2) Try and get it fixed with TADL again myself (have no real confidence in there ability to fix it really).

3) Get someone who knows what they are doing to take a look (any suggestions?)

4) Put up with it because really it isn't all that bad (wife hadn't noticed any problems until I pointed them out to her and TADL intially said they couldn't find any faults!)

Any comments guys?

If its a dust blob get rid of it yourself. Cyberheater made a thread on it showing pic's on opening the case and what he did, was really helpful. Do a search for his name then look at the threads he created.

As for the cast green try going into the service menu and under C-unif tweak it out of the Max option (i think thats the dark screen). There is max, mid-h, mid-l & min. Go through each untill you see the Green in the area and tweak out using the link below(gives the numbers corresponding to the area on screen).

As for the VB again in the service menu go to the DAC-P and then V.COM and make sure nothing is flickering. Then into NRSH to further tweak VB, ie make sure there are no White or black lines in the boxed areads of green, red, blue. If you cant tell or see these or know what to look for take the numbers to the minimun to see the white stripes/lines and maximun for the black. This will give you an idea on what to look to tweak out.

kopite4ever - many thanks for this, will give it a try (but don't want to open up the projector as it may invalidate the warranty, so may just live with the dust blob bit). From what I remember the warranty was about £150 and was for a 3 yr on-site.
