Question Ghosting on progressive?

I just borrowed a Pioneer 737 to test the progressive output to my Toshiba MT3, but I get a strange double ghosting. On S-video it’s OK, on component it’s still OK with slight ghosting and on progressive it’s that double ghosting. It’s almost as the colors don’t exactly fit on top of each other. Can the wiring cause this? I’ve made up a test cable from shielded cat 5 cable and a brake out connector (D-sub to phono). Does anyone have any suggestions on this?

On a similar matter. I remember someone trying progressive PAL on the MT3 but I don’t really remember the outcome. Please advise!!
