Question New lamp for Sharp XVC20E

Hi,
I heard that we could replace the original lamp with another one really cheaper.
Is someone aware of this ?

Well 60 lumens isn't a lot so maybe my torch from Argos would be good enough light source!.

Seriously you would be better spending that kind of money on a large TV or wait a bit longer and save the extra $400 on the Panasonic or one of the many older projectors with 500+ lumens. I bought my XGA projector 550 lumens for £1299 brand new (retail price £2000+?) only 6 months ago, and it plays films such as Gladiator with incredible detail, although I have tweaked it heavily to create a more 3D picture

in a dark room 60 lumens is plenty , my old Sharp XV320p was about that and had no probs showing a good picture.
I now have a toshiba MT1 but had many years out of the Sharp with no probs. Its currently on offer for £200 if anyone interested
(for the sharp)
