HD72i & which player?

I think I have decided upon investing in a ThemeScene HD72i for my Home Cinema and hopefully by mid to end May I should be in a financial position to buy.

What I also need is an HDMI DVD player and I am wondring if anyone has had good/bad experiences between a particular player and the ThemeScene?

I have been looking at the the Marantz DV7600 which is probably about the stretch of my budget, but I can be persuaded to other players around this price.

Any help appreciated!

Bear in mind that HD-DVD and Blu-Ray are only a few months away, so you may want to hold on to your money for a while. I've seen several posts from retailers saying that demand for high-end HDMI players has dried up as people wait for 'proper' HD players.

You might be better off going for a budget HDMI player like the Tosh 350/360 to tide you over until the autumn.

Depends how much spare cash you've got I suppose!

If you do go budget in the interim dont forget you've got the Faroudja DCDi chip in the PJ so I wouldnt worry too much about Progressive out of the player
