Lightbulb Sim HT200DM repair or replace

I have a Sim HT200DM projector that has had its bulb replaced and now needs a new motherboard according to Sim, this will cost £1200. What is the consensus of opinion on whether I should repair it or buy a new cheaper model. Until recentley it was used for watching movies and big sporting occaisons and the screen comes down over the hitachi plasma. As I now have the cash to get it fixed I suddenly thought it may be better to buy a new one under warranty. Could afford just under £2k.

The questions boils down to for the cash c.£1500 would a new projector be better than spending money on the old Sim which I have no real complaints about the picture of.

Would it be possible to have a later MB from Sim to be put into the 200DM as they are look alike to a certain degree?

Thoughts welcomed.

something like an optoma H78 would do you well. I believe there is/was a 2nd hand one in the hardware forums.

I'm not an expert on the optomas but I know both those pj's are well regarded. Any one of these will be a big step up in all but style
