I set-up my Z2 using 'AVIA' and 'DVD Essentials' DVDs and found the best calibrated settings were:

YPbPr/YCbCr Component (RGB-coloured phonos):
Brightness: 0
Contrast: 0
Colour: +2
Tint: 0
Colour Temp: Mid
Sharpness: +7
Gamma: 0
Auto Greyscale: Off
Progressive: L1

RGBHV analogue (using a VGA 15-pin D-SUB to DVI-I adaptor):
Brightness: 0
Contrast: 0
Colour: n/a
Tint: n/a
Colour Temp: Mid
Sharpness: 0
Gamma: 0
Auto Greyscale: Off
Progressive: L1

RGBHV digital (DVI-D):
Brightness: 0
Contrast: 0
Colour: n/a
Tint: n/a
Colour Temp: Low1
Sharpness: 0
Gamma: 0
Auto Greyscale: Off
Progressive: L1

Hi,

I have a Z2.

With home cinema, the clue is in the name. Like your local multiplex, your home cinema will offer its best in as dark an environment as you can come up with. Dark is best. Natural daylight is not what home cinema projectors are all about. I'm not trying to put you down, rather I'm hoping you won't cast aside your very excellent Z2 due to 'questionable' performance ' under natural daylight conditions. It's a great PJ as far as I'm concerned but maybe not for natural daylight room.

Good Luck.

I totally agree. I always watch my PJ in as dark a environment as poss. The above settings were obtained in a pitch black room...
