How to setup 1:1 pixel mapping on infocus 4805 with component video input from HCPC?

Hi,

I have an infocus 4805 hooked up via component video to a self build HCPC which uses an Nvidia 6150 GPU.

I am trying to configure 1:1 pixel mapping and cannot get the PJ to display anything other than a square image.

In the Nvidia settings for HDTV I selected 480p (EDTV) and create a custom resolution of 848x480. With the PJ set to native mode I see a square image of I guess 600x480 pixels which I can scroll to see the remaining 248 pixels of the image. However under no circumstances can I get the whole image to expand to fill the screen.

The only way that I have managed to get a full size image is to select 720p (HDTV) and use a resolution of 1280x720 however the colour then becomes really washed out.

I have had similair problems using a laptop and the bundled VGA to DVI cable which makes me suspect that the projector is somehow at fault.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Howard

I've connected my scaler to my 4805 by VGA and DVI-D through its M1-DA socket. I've found the analogue connection to be far less flexible with resolutions and framerates and uses the onboard scaler to downscale more often than I think is necessary. However the picture is still very watchable and in some cases more 'cinematic' (or like my old CRT PJ's) than the digital link.
