Extended warranties...

Has anyone used these guys before http://www.warrantyex.co.uk/Default.aspx?tab=3.

They are offering a two year extended warranty for my Panasonic AE700 Projector for £145. I rang them and they said if the Bulb was integral to the machine working then it would be covered - which seems good.

Any views on this - good/bad?

Very good if the lamp is included. I've got my DVD recorder insured under Domestic & General.

Rang again to double check before buying - this time the bulb is not included...so not as good value I guess.

Interesting, I didn't know about Warranty Ex's site.

Projector up to £1249, £134 for 3 year warranty
Plasma up to £1249, £457 for 3 year warranty

Ouch

i would assume the bulb would be covered for breakage but not just it runing out as it does.

its like insuring a pen. you will get your insurance if it brakes, but not if it just runs out
