£800 to spend no more

Well its that time again .. I am selling my benq 5120 and I am looking to buy a new PJ but my budget is £800 no more so what do I get ??? PJTX100 I would like it to be HD 720 if poss and have no preference between dlp or LCD as I do not suffer from rainbows.
I have my ideas but I am curious what you would go for .

Cheers Darko

At £800, the only PJ is the PJTX100 I think. Its £12 delivery from Crampton and Moore.

I know you want it to be 720p, but what about the Sharp XV200, its 576p but people in that thread are very happy with it, some saying it has better PQ than Sanyo Z4 etc. You could spend £500 on that and then buy a good scaler, ot keep that £300 for HD-DVD.

I really want it to be 720, I already have a 5120 which looks great but I want to upgrade to a true Hidef PJ so it is at least a bit future proof.

But thanks for the advice bud

am looking at the HD72 now

Just looking at your kit list now, you don't actually have anything to watch HD things apart from the PC. I would wait for what you want to get, eg Blu-Ray, HD-DVD, Xbox360, PS3. Or you may watch HD via the PC, so you may want it.
Because if you wait, undoubtedly the prices will be cheaper, maybe some cheaper DLP 720p PJ's, or the current models getting cheaper.

push the boat out mate and get the HD72. use the 12 month interest free.

If not then go for the sharp X200E mentioned on this forum. the reviews from users on here are excellent

My buget was like £800 then I thought whats the point ! you only live once and spend money of crap like beer fags etc.

You also get a free screen and mount, which you phone and ask to swap for something, or get them and flog them on eBay/Classifieds.
