Thanks: Gave 27, Got 13 | Just Bought My First PJ......
Hi Everyone
Well ive bitten the bullet and my PJTX200 will be delivered by 12 O clock Tommorrow, just in time for the game "COME ON RED MEN"....
Main problem is i am going too have to ceiling mount it in my kitchen and project it into the lounge. As you can imagine, my better half is going to be chuffed about having a projector in "her" kitchen. So to make up for it ive agreed ill get the leaste hideous looking mount possible.
But now ive started searching they all look hideous. Ive seen some of your guys in the Show me yours pics thread and some look well good.
Can anyone advise where to get a nice looking ceiling mount, sub £100
Any help would be great
God i cant wait till tommorrow.
Also thanks for everones help. The forum was so helpfull when i was geeting my 50" sony and now all you PJ lot have been very very helpful too. Tnanks |

hmmmmm.....
installing in kitchen?? can be little bad for the PJ . You know ?
Oil, smoke dust etc.
if you cover up too much it may get humid inside and can cause diff trouble.
not sure if putting the PJ in kitchen is a good idea or not.
I am using some costic crystals by the side of my PJ to trap unwanted moistuire before it goes to the PJ.
PJTX200 is a fantastic PJ. SO enjopy your purchase and do post screenshots

Are you sure there's no other option? That sounds like a very strange setup to me!
Have you considered a stand - which you can move once you're finished watching the PJ.
I know my missus would never let me do anything like that! In fact I ended up buying a stand from argos, and modifying it so that it held the PJ at celing mount height - no drilling into the celing/wooden beams, and it can all be hidden away when we have guests.

In the pic bellow im actually standing at the start of the kitchen. Its all one room you see. Sorry, I didnt make myself very clear in my previous post. http://www.directpackagingltd.com/myplace.jpg
And the kitchen isnt used that much to be honest. Id fear if i started cooking at home my local take away would go out of business... lol... So im not to worried about moisture etc....
Its mainly so it doesnt look like too much of an eye sore.
Cheers
Mark

Can't you hang a screen in front of the right hand window and project onto that?

tia pixel | Hi Pixel
I Bought it from Crompton And More, It was on Ebay for £999, then delivery was £12, Will be with me tommorrow by 1
I was thinking of projecting on the sidewall but it wont be too viewer friendly. The corner of the couch would effect viewing.
Ive measured up and it seems that the PJ wont be in the kitchen, If i project from 4m im still in the lounge and can get an image more than big enough
cheers for your help
just got to get my provisional white sheet ironed and up now

Ha, I've been projecting from the lounge to the kitchen wall and it worked great (as seen here at the bottom - http://www.avforums.com/forums/showt...page=32)...now that the PJ is wall mounted on the lounge's far wall the projected picture is too big for the poor kitchen wall to accomodate it (it overlaps the fridge and the glass wall on the left)...but the distance from the seating position is perfect, just like cinema...I may thin of something because some people have already complained that the current placing of the screen is too close for them (2.7 meters from viewing position)...
