Pease Help

Hi everyone - I need some advice as I'm a bit new to the AV scene. I am currently installing an av system into my new house and have an Optoma H30 (not a) and a Denon 2910, the projector will be connected to the ceiling and the equipment in a dedicated cupboard. The connecting lead will have to be approx 7 m long. What is the best way to connect these two together?

thanks in advance

Philip,

when you are installing the cables, you should install a HDMI cable and a component cable. That will pretty well future proof you.

Got this from a google:

http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/component/

"Component Video Cables

Any component video cable, electrically speaking, is just a set of three cables for the Y, Pb, and Pr components of the signal; but most people prefer their component video cables to come in the form of a single bundle for neatness and ease of installation.

Of the three major analog consumer video signal formats, (composite, s-video, and component video), component video is the best. Component video can be run at any resolution, unlike composite and s-video which are 480i formats, and, as a result of having the color signal split three ways (luminance and two color-difference signals), provides the best color rendition" of the analog formats. "If you're looking for a component video cable to run from a 15-pin VGA plug to three RCA or BNC plugs, visit our VGA to Component Video page."
