Problems with DIY VGA to Components cable

Hello all,

I have an IBM E400 PJ. It offers DVI, SVideo and composite connectors.

With the PJ cames a DVI to VGA cable. Using this cable and with information found in Internet I've made a VGA to components cable. The VGA is connected to the PJ (vía the DVI to VGA) and the components to the DVD YUV signal.

I receive signal (in fact far better than using Svideo) but I see noise in the images (not very noticeable, only when I look very close to the screen). I've redo the cable several times with the same problem (I've even tried a different type of cable just to be sure everything is ok) but the problem persists.

Is there any reason why I'm having this problem? I've tested it with other players and still see the "noise" (small, random pixels grey or blue) when projecting the film.

Thanks in advance,

M.
