progressive Component Gets Purple Washed-Out Look

Can anyone help with this?

I've tried two different players sending 576p via component to my Infocus 7205 projector & I get a slightly purpley washed-out look to the picture. It's fine when sending interlaced, but not progressive??? As I said, I've tried two different players. Any ideas why?

How does it look with the startup background - is it blue as normal?

I am just having my 7205 swapped out because it sometimes doesn't display any blue on startup. Doesn't sound the exact same problem as mine was on all inputs.

Does your infocus have an option for changing "colour space"? Try changing this to RGB mode if you have it. Might be worth a shot...

Yes, it's blue, as normal.

Hi Bryan, yes it is. However, I like the option of component also, since it has a different quality to it. It's weird 576i looks fabulous, in some areas better than HDMI, but then HDMI is better in others, but when I turn progressive on I get this purple wash. It's not that far off, but gives blacks quite a purple tint. I've tried different ire settings also, interlaced is spot on, same as HDMI.

BAM279, yes I've tried different colour spaces to no avail.

I wonder if the deinterlacing of my Sony/3910 is clashing with the deinterlacer in the pj?

576p/720p is both fine via HDMI????
