AE900 Standby Noise

When I got my AE300 it used to make a very low volume high pitched noise when left it on standby and could only get rid of it by turning it off. After time I either got used to it or it stopped.
I've just got an AE900 and it's doing the same, it's mounted about 5 foot above my head. I can't hear it straight away but if can't sleep it become really obvious and can only stop it by turning the power off.

Has any one else experienced this ?
Can it be stopped other than turning the power off ?

Thanks

I would suggest it's good practice to turn the power off anyway. Certainly with the 700 there were many reports that it helped to reduce VB.

Will it make much difference if I turn it off via the switch or at the plug (it's easier at the plug) ?

Would've thought the plug should be fine.
