Question Need Help deciding!!!

I am looking for a projector for my dads christmas and i'm stuck between the Panasonic AE900 and the Sanyo Z4. I have read reviews on both but still cant decide. Some people say the Z4s image is too sharp and they that AE900s isnt sharp enough. I also heard that the Z4 has some vertical banding issues. He will be seated over 14 feet from the projector. Which screen should i get?(at least 92 inches). thanks a lot for anyone who helped.

AE900 has the VB problems, not the Z4.

Nice present, what's Santa bringing you?

I`ve a PT-AE900 since 24 October and never seen any VB, so i guess i must be lucky. Never seen the Z4 but for what i´ve read on these forums it must be a very nice PJ. The best way is to demo both if you can. I`ve bought mine blind and i´m very happy for now. In the end your dad will be the lucky one
