No Picture Through Component

I've just put all of my home cinema setup back together after decorating the living room. Before I dismantled it I had my Panasonic ES310 DVD-R connected by SCART to my CRT TV and by component to my Infocus X-1 projector.

Now that's it's back together, the setup is identical except that the CRT has been replaced with a Sharp LC32P50E LCD TV. But now, although I get a picture through the DVD recorder on the TV the projector will not pick up the signal through the component connection. It will display the signal from my other DVD player which is connected using S-Video.

The problem persists even if I disconnect the SCART from the DVD Recorder and the S-Video from the projector. I've definitely got progressive scan turned on on the DVD player, I've done a factory reset of both units and unplugged them for several minutes before trying again - still no joy! Why can't I get a picture on the projector through the component input?!

start of with the basics.

Disconnect everything and then set up just the DVD recorder to the projector via component. If that works you go on to the next bit and connect your tv etc...
Build up your system in bits and test as you go.
