Infocus X3 Projector

Does anyone have one of these? What is the performance of it like for games? It says contrast ratio is 2000:1 and ansi-lumens is 1700.

Would that be too bright for home cinema?

Thx.

When I first started looking to get a PJ many moons ago I was intersted in the X2 I came hear looking for info and got none I think the reason may be that the infocus X range are a bit more office equipment than home cinema so people tend not to buy them.
What perpose have you got for it??

Cheers Darko

well infocus themselves do not suggest this one for video viewing... its high lumen, and 4:3 aspect ratio tend it towards data projection... Not that it cannot produce lovely images...
the x3 was the 1st projector I ever saw playing, and it was a really good way to feed my hunger for a lovely image...
IMHO the thing is that you can get at least adequate picture for less...
it is different if you would like to use it for data as well... or the 4:3 is the aspect you choose... Or the high lumen output could turn to your advantage if you cannot control the light totally...

but I remind you that many state that this is to much light to watch a movie for more that 2 hrs in darkness... I have no personal experience on that though...

To conclude, I have quited the x3... nec ht510 looked great (afraid of the 2x wheel though) or wih alil more quids the mitsubishi hc3000... this as far as PAL resolution DLps
