Can Domino 30 do 50Hz Hi-Def?

Okay, so I finally got my HTPC setup working well with the Domino 30 (non-HDMI) with Powerstrip!

I'm feeding 15-pin VGA from PC and also use component from my AV rack with the projector.

Clearly the 30 will run 720p at 60Hz, and I've seen this demonstrated before, and have got this running fine now myself - (comes up as Mode 71)

Can Jeff or Alan confirm whether the 30 will run 720p at 50Hz though or will it need a software upgrade. I'm running v2.36 software after Eddie had it in last year for a glitch and kindly updated it.

I'm asking because 720p @ 50Hz (and 1080i @ 25Hz) will be what the new SkyHD box puts out over it's component feed. I'm led to believe from "insider information" that it will not be switchable to 720p @ 60Hz.

It would be very useful to know as I am trying to work out whether to put some money into a new plasma or update our projector at present. As the plasma is a Panny 5 series 852x480, I'm feeling that needs updated first, and that way I can continue saving for that C3X (with that all important HDMI connection)...

Thanks Alan.

I'll update that plasma first then, and still be able to enjoy 720p/1080i via component feed into the Domino.

Hopefully the 1920x1080 version of the C3X will be released by the time I come to upgrade the projector eh?
