Sim2 C3X and GrayHawk

Hi,

Do you think that a Stewart GrayHawk RS (Gain .92) would be adequate for a C3X Lite? The screen width is 2.2 meters and distance from screen about 3m (therefore using the T1 lens).

Thanks for your help.

NS

I'd go for a white matt screen but a Greyhawk of that size would be fine with the Lite.

Thanks Jeff.

My main concern was that the throw distance is short. I'd go for a matte white 1.0 screen myself but my friend already has a Draper Premier (with some gain) and wants 'something better' in the lines fo Stewart. Problem is that Stewart doesn't seem to have 1.0 matte white screens.

Cheers,

NS

Actually Stwart do have a 1.0 matte white material, I can't remember what they call it and it's not advertised on their website, but they do have it as an option.

Strangely I have been recommended exactly the same combination too. Grayhawk RS with a C3X Lite - 110 inches diagonal and I will have to sit about 3 metres away too.
Apparently the Matt White may be too bright according to the distributor here.
let me know which one you went with eventually please - and if it was the matt white one, did you have any reflection problems with the combination of the short throw lens and the white screen? Thanks
