i have no idea which projector to buy i have a budget of £775 i would like one with comparable quality to a lcd tv resolution contrast etc please help

You not going to get a PJ with the same kind of specs for 775 unless you go second hand or find someone still selling brand new Z3's.

Spec that would be comparable would be:-

Hidef display = 1280 x 720
Contrast ratio = 1000:1 (at least)

I recently bought a Hitachi TX100 and the specs are really good for the price.
They can be bought for around 850 new so your only 75 quid out. Worth the stretch.
Otherwise you'll have to go for a machine with less pixels.

Anyone else got any ideas?

First off, posting the same question in two separate threads suggests an unreasonable degree of impatience - someone will answer your question in a while, I dare say.

As for answering the question, I suggest you spend an hour or two reading through recent threads on this forum, in particular the manythreads with "What projector should I buy ? " as the main topic - you could find useful information there.
