how big a screen do you want from that 9ft distance?

also how much do you have to spend?

my advice is repost with your budget limit, the preferable screen size and then people can post options for you......

if your budgets around £2,500-£3,000 then i can recommend my Infocus 7205 as a very nice projector, i run it from my PC and my home cinema setup.....is 1280x720 native res, i get an 86in screen from around 11ft but it can go bigger with the zoom....
however there are other options in this price range....i went for this because i did like the picture, but also it was a slightly cheaper refurbished model that i was given 3 year gold warranty on (next day replacement if it breaks down) from Sevenoaks hifi...

but like i say, post around, if your budgets too low you might have to be looking at LCD projectors...
